Anyone care to share some good spots to launch a tube from in Mission and San Diego bay?
Is there anywhere to launch in America’s Cup Harbor?

Here’s a decently easy one in San Diego bay, right next to a ton of dock pilings

Several places in Mission Bay, look for Boat Ramps like South Shores and De Anza Cove. Also Crown Point Park, Ski Beach, anywhere on Fiesta Island.

Best access to America's Cup Harbor (as far as I know) is from the Shelter Island launch ramp area, especially if you're down to launch from the rocks near the Bali Hai.

Other easy launches on the big bay are Spanish Landing, Glorietta Bay, J St. and Liberty Station.

Going to give it a look today, I’ve seen people tubing in the cup harbor but no idea how they get in and out. Kicking back to shelter island would suck.

Maybe this dock or somewhere near it can be used. Getting in the tube off a dock sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Lots more places if you don't mind climbing over rocks

Otherwise, get on a bicycle and circle the bay, cross over with the ferry. Record the good spots with your phone.

Depends on your tube. My old caddis...could slide into over the back. Not doable on my current cumberland.
I did a tide ride from Shelter island into ACH and got out at the dock in your pic. At low tide it was shallow enough to stand on the sandy bottom next to the ramp and climb on to the dock.

I remember getting onto the sport boats at H&M Landing and seeing a sandy area where the docks start. I haven't been recently enough to remember how easy it would be to get down there. I also imagine you'd have to park fairly far away.

When I fish Mission Bay I usually launch from Dana Landing boat launch. Lots of good Halibut Sandies and even Corvina in the area too.

Years ago when I tubed the bay I would routinely walk down the rocks near the America's Cup/Bali Hai area - just be careful if you are wearing waders on the rocks, they are all very sharp and will tear the neoprene (resolved by wearing an old pair of socks over the waders. This part of the bay has a ton of structure and fish, just me mindful and don't hit boats when casting.

If you're up for something different, head over the bridge to Coronado and fish those moored boats immediately to the right. Not sure if the screaming lady still lives out there but that was always entertaining.

Last tip is that if you plan to fish the main channel, double check the tides. They can be no joke and pull you out to sea if you aren't competent in kicking. I alllllmost found that out, once.
