I’m trying to figure out what’s the most equitable and fair way to split the cost of the boat with others? In this case, let’s say three persons on a boat.

The boat is approx $123.00 with the TM fees included. Two passengers lake fee is $30 a head (or $60 for two) but the $30 lake fee is included in the TM’s $123. So should the split be $41 per person plus the two guests pay the $30 each?

(A). Ticket buyer: $41
Guest 1: $41 plus $30 = $71
Guest 2: $41 plus $30 = $71

(B). Or is it $123 plus the $60 = $183 / 3 = $61 a person m

Cost of the boat less 1 passenger is 123-30=93 or $31 per person. Add $30 to that and it is $61.

Your error was ignoring that the basic fee includes one passenger.

You are on you own for figuring out transportation costs, not just gas but wear and tear on the vehicle. IRS allowable rate is $.67 per mile for business so you might be able to get them to essentially pay for your trip, depending on where you start and how persuasive you are.

Well there are options-
1. You could go by yourself and report back to the forums you caught 150 bass no dinks and left at 10 am.
2. I try and charge per Senko I lose that day, usually covers the cost of the boat and a few bags of the ole Gary Yamamoto love.
3. Get 3 other slap nuts to pay $71 per person, take out to Hauser arm and keep handing them Vodka tonics, bloody Mary's and beers till they need to piss, let em off, Then haul butt back to the dock and sell their gear on Offer-Up or this forums marketplace at a discount, seems this has happened to a few members already this year. FYI good way to get a cheap drop shot rig.
