Murray Giant on the underspin

Haven’t been on SDfish too much lately but I decided to post this catch. I was planning on taking out the kayak but didn’t want to go through the hassle of loading it up so instead, I went on the bank. I saw some fish busting so I decided to throw a small 2.8 Keitech on an underspin. I got caught on a rock and when I popped it off, I got hammered by a giant. She looked like a 10 at first sight but weighed in at 9.1 pounds. Ended up snapping my rod but it was all worth it in the end.

Nice fish. Congratulations. Maybe you can put a ferrule on the broken rod and still use it?

No, I fished it from a tube yesterday and the water is way too low. They were renting boats however I believe.

Oh my God I was at Lake Murray today walking around talking a few fishermen. I thought you caught it today not in July. That still a heck of a fish
