Hit my usual spots in the Big Bay today. Started at the Bali Hai around 7am, very low tide. All I scratched out was a snagged stingray. Snagged him right by the tail, too close for comfort but I stepped on his tail so he couldn’t zap me and luckily it came out easy. The barge at Coasterra where I can usually land a few spotties and runt calicos was dead, eppig brewing where I caught a Hali was dead. Oh well, better than skunked. I gotta start fishing the tides better, but I like going early no matter what to avoid the crowds. I did enjoy my bfast watching the sport boats come and go.

Those potatoes look great at least.

That's exactly what I was thinking

You have to be able to find the bait usually in order to find better fish. I had an epic bite on the inside cove of bali hai by the docks on corvina in the evening destroying jerk baits.

It helps to use Google satellite maps and see where the patches of sand are when exploring new spots.

I can't speak for myself much about fishing from the bank anymore, if I'm going to be down there I might as well haul my boat down with me too

There are a lot sting rays around the entrance to ACH. Although I’ve never caught one there specifically, they sure seem numerous and like to follow my fly/lure almost to the boat.
