Got out yesterday

morning to see if my comment to @cajunjacket's "picky corbina" post would come to fruition. It was perfect conditions and finding a huge hole was the bonus. Picked off 3 during the last hour of the outgoing tide, 14", 16" and 18". Bite faded off during the low slack but right at the turn this 23"+ tank hit like a freight train. Must have made close to a dozen runs & took me more than 10 minutes to get in all the while I'm thinking don't break me off. As far as any beans in the skinny water, I did not see any. A fly guy saw a few but wasn't having any luck.

Very nice fish, and that last one was a jumbo.. Nice going on putting the plan into action and fruition... I'm missing fishing down there, so you'll have to take up the slack for me. ;)

Thanks Butch. A couple of observations from the past 2 weeks. Perch bites have basically vanished. I think it's helped the bean count not having those rascals stealing baits. Water temp likely has a lot to do with it as we've been in the 70 - 72, too warm so moving north to cooler waters is my guess. Secondly, the numbers non SNGF's has been insane this summer; I counted up 7 over my past 4 sessions. Usually only get a couple for the season. Don't know what that's all about unless it's gravitating to warmer waters ?

The water's warming up here too.. I've been busy all week and haven't been out, but a buddy went out yesterday and said the water felt like 73 or so, and he's pretty good at judging... Keep getting 'em...
