Hey everyone,
Has anyone fished along Pismo to Morro Bay shorelines? Im Planning on going out this Thursday-Sunday. If so, what kind of fish are out there and what type of gear is a "must bring" and any bait/lures recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

I’ve fished pismo a few times. Surf perch is the main targeteith lots of numbers but small. Same set up as here.
Striped bass are known to show. So you could dedicate jerk baits etc and “ignore” the perch.
There’s guys that get halibut up there on swim baits around Avila beach. I haven’t tried it myself.
Not much stricture or contour on the main beach at pismo. There’s some water outlets to the south on pismo that look good. I heard at the very south where the cliffs start is a great place to fish.
Never hit morro but it looks fishy.

Check out Hook2Cook on Youtube. He's a central coast angler with a lot of good videos. I grew up in Santa Ynez and lived in the SLO/Pismo area for a number of years, I just wish I was more into fishing instead of partying back then, otherwise I'd have more advice for you!
