Took my oldest son float tubing at D&K. Awesome day. My son is just now getting the fishing bug at 35....but he's still really new to it.

He ended up with 7 and I caught 16. Several were caught on walking topwater baits and poppers, a few on a crankbait. After the topwater action slowed, the rest were all on jigs and Senkos Most were clones, but did manage 5 fish over 3 lbs.

My son caught the biggest fish of the day that had to be 6+ but I didn't get a picture because my phone died.

Anyway it was a great multi-bait day shared with my son.

Still using the little crankbait or was that a different one? Nice to have a good day with your son.

Glad you didn’t lose that little crank bait because there’s a lot of stick ups there waiting to steal it from you.
