Unbelievable but not. Big government’s reckless spending comes to this. All starts with your vote.

If I could win one of those huge lottery jackpots, it be interesting if they would accept $59,000 from private citizen. Odds are they would not.
Much too easy.

They would spend it else where, and blame global warming.
I think it was the Rougarou .

Just wondering , is the gay pride parade a tax funded event?

It’s all those sexy street repairs that the city is so diligently working on. Gotta grease the hinges on all those gates at the border too.
Jump the border and you’re handed a silver platter of benefits at our expense…sneak into a lake at night, catch and release, leave no trace and you get the book thrown at you. Go figure…if the city keeps this up, they are going to have to double down on the night shift security at all these lakes.

What would the $ 59k cover? Back when Supervisor Anderson was doing his lakes initiative thing it was clear the lakes wanted no involvement of none unless it was a windfall. Anderson offered the city 600,000 For 45-something lake days over 6 years, that one day a month at each lake. That windfall is on top of our increased fees and the fact that many of the employees are getting paid that day anyway. When a couple of us paying attention at the time crunched the numbers for Anderson's office he pulled it back. So, in that sense, the city is holding the lakes hostage period. Still, Anderson is an important person to go after for help, His on-record campaign promise was to "blow the lakes wide open"
If the recreation site isn't big enough for a pay-to-play vendor you can just stuff your freedoms and access to public land, that's what is happening.

This is interesting. Find a way for a government contractor to make money with these bodies of water on public land.
