Got on the water early with Chuck. Water was toasty warm and the air wasn't, so there was impressive steam fog happening. Feels sketchy at best crossing the lake in the dark, in the fog. I have a couple lights on the kayak, which allows others to see me, but then I can't see out in the fog.

Really had some difficulties finding the fish. Chuck got a few on the popper and walking bait, he got a beauty at 4.7 pounds on topwater. I had gone to another area. Finally picked up a couple on topwater, but it was pretty slow on the top. I started fishing the little crank and a jerkbait, and started to get a few, but I think the fish were down lower. Got a decent bite on the small crank in the back of Hauser, but fish were smaller, between 1 and 2 pounds. My big bass for the day was only 2.5.

Did get a trifecta though, caught a few larger bluegills and a few crappies, so that's fun. On the way back in, the jerkbait bite finally picked up and I had fun in the coves catching a decent number of bass, but nothing large for me, mostly clone-lights in the 1-2 pound range. Still a fun day, and great to fish with a friend.
