I noticed a few small personal boats on Barrett yesterday. There was an 8ft Livingston and a small plastic Jon boat. What are the rules for bringing your personal kayak/float tube?

As long as it’s registered with CF numbers pretty sure your good to go. A buddy of mine had a Colorado XT pontoon with a trolling motor on it and got cited for not having CF numbers.

I thought it was limited to float tubes and kayaks. I did not know you can bring small boats too? You are saying anything with CF numbers are allowed? What are the actual rules for kayaks and float tubes?

I couldn't care less but according to the official rules these Jon boats are not allowed but some will continue to push the limits until they are told not to or cited. Its the way of Barrett...lol

No one is sneaking in past the lake staff - I trust them to make the determination. They do a fantastic job and I trust there judgment. If I see the Dolphin 1/2 day boat in Pine I may speak up....

As long as you can carry it down to the shore and not trailer it in and have to back it down into the water. Car toppers, kayaks, canoes, and inflatables are ok. At least these are what I’ve seen in the past. If it has power(ie. trolling motor) it will need CF numbers. This goes for kayaks and float tubes as well.
