Top Water in the Surf

Has anyone had any success with using top water lures in the surf ? If so, are you working it the same “walk the dog” as if you were in calmer water such as the bay ?

Only in Baja. I’ve never tried top water here.

I haven't, but read of others fishing topwater for corvina at night in the bays.
