Hodges report April 24

Hello all,
Got out on Hodges early with a buddy. Water temp was 66F and wind was calm. Not a lot for the report. Went along the shoreline with poppers, dragged the bottom with crankbaits and other assorted things that didn't work out. Got three for the day. One early on the popper, one mid morning on the crankbait and one right before I headed in on the small crankbait. Talked to several people and it was quiet for them too. Bendopolo44 was out there and had some good reports on topwater over by the launch ramp. He lost a few, but I think at the time he had 6 or so. When I got done, water temp was up to 69F. Also did a little practicing with a jig and a right handed Daiwa SS Air reel. Apparently there's a difference in switching hands, didn't like it at all. The reel is great, it's the hands using it. So I'll be posting a nice deal on that little device in the for sale section.
