Saturday of barely legals

Good condition. Low swell. Low wind. Clear water. Some seaweed but not too bad.
Caught 3 leopard sharks. They put up good fight but not my target. Not sure if anyone would target them?
Then I landed this cabbie. I have never caught legal ones and this one is darn close. I felt that if I "straighten" it, it could hit the 15 inch bar. But that would be really close. It was gut-hooked so I was debating a bit if I would keep it. Nah, too close. Cut the line and let it go. I am still pursuing my first "definitely legal" cabezon.
Then I landed this bass. At the time it seems borderline 14 inch, but now looking at the picture it is clearly 14.5. A bunch of kids came over and I let them touch the fish. Then I let it go as well.
I had a weird pain on the side of rib cage and it got worse during the session, so I decided to call it. Maybe I was casting too hard? Hopefully it can be gone tomorrow and I can continue...
They are there and they are biting. Go for 'em!
