Spoon fed fishies

MB in the morning and decided to try a spoon fly. It produced, got a couple croaker, some spotties, and a small halibut (which came off when I tried to pull it into the tube by the leader). The takes seemed more aggressive on the spoon fly vs other flies this morning. It’s a relatively easy tie and seems to be durable since the body is made out of epoxy, It really wiggles around a lot on both the retrieve and drop.

I used a product called Kiley’s Spoon Skinz. However, there are templates on the internet you can download to print on clear plastic sheets from Staples and cut them yourself. I mixed in some fine glitter sparkles with the epoxy to give it color and flash. The tail is rabbit zonker, I might use something synthetic next time for the tail because I see the zonker strip wearing out before the body.
