Hi all,

The report is that the lake is closed on the third Wednesday of the month. It's not on the website if you pull the county page, however you can find it by going to one of the other reservoirs and seeing the pdf stating Hodges is closed. Or....you can go there on the third Wednesday of the month and get in line with all the others who think they are early for the opening and you find out you are early, but for Saturday.
Here's a snip of the additional closures

The fact that they can't afford to have the facilities open 365 days a year is already BS IMO, and don't even get me started on closing at night even for shore fishing... I'm glad I fish mostly saltwater now.

Sorry, recent transplant to California but when they say closed do they just mean the boat ramp or is it actually illegal to fish on those days? The lake is still there, and you can still hike in from the trails, but if you do it on a closed day does that make it poaching?

It is a trespass violation to fish on "closed" days.

They could suspend your fishing License, but they usually just look the other way or give you a warning and ask you to leave.
Funny how they can take away your right to fish for fishing on a day they already took your right to fish away...

A lot of funny things with our local reservoirs compared to virtually everywhere else. It’s an absolute JOKE. Go big CA government, where your best interest is the last thing on their mind.

The lake staff remain on duty on the closed days. How is that saving money? Seems selling permits on those days would make money!
