The results? The fishing won’t be good for at least a week, maybe 2? 😂 (sorry…couldn’t resist)

Yeah, expecting a tough day tomorrow. I’m just curious as to what kind of weights they brought in.

Not sure anybody knows that lake better than you do. My money says you will find them 😉

On the day it reopened, I tossed a swimbait for a bit and could tell there was no life shallow. Then I saw a few boats around me were turning and casting deep as opposed to at the bank. So I fished a 10xd the rest of the day until sunset and my arm fell off. I only caught around 50-60 fish as opposed to some others who whacked em but my first fish was over 5 and it just kept going all day. I even had a fish break me off on 16lb after ripping drag. My buddy actually found the bait a few hundred yards away with the back treble totally bent out. On a phenix x-15 composite rod

Ever since they reopened the lake, and raised it 125 feet, there has definitely been A much deeper bite all year long than there was before they raised the dam. This year I have graphed fish and bait as deep as 90 feet in some areas. I haven’t fished that deep because I don’t want to kill any fish by bringing them up from so deep.

Sounds about right. Limits of 2-4lb fish. Weights at the Cap slightly higher last weekend with big kickers.

There's definitely a deeper bite than the good ol days. I think the silversides don't mind that deep water! Back in November I was metering fish in a 100'+...too deep for fun! The shallow bite was pretty short lived last year, along with the topwater!

I got all my Bass last week at 40-50 feet at San V. A slow 40 count every cast. 1/8 oz. Jighead and 5 inch ZMan Trout Trick with one inch cut off, in Redbone. Most had to be sunk back down with a Release device.
