Curse of the First Cast Fish!

The curse is real!! Decided to hit the small bay for a change. It’s right down the hill from my place but we almost always hit the big bay. Anyway the morning was chillier and breezier than forecast but we were determined to learn. Had new tactics ready to go and first cast…bam! Truly thought about trying to lose that fish as it almost always signals a slow day. Sure enough we only bagged 5 more between us but we gained some solid knowledge today on locations, new baits, and tactics. Even got home and cleaned up the boat in time for football. PS got checked for licenses by DFG. My buddy brought a different tackle bag not realizing his paper license wasn’t in there. Just before getting written up, I reminded him we both did screenshots of our online buys last year. Sure enough he had his pic on his phone which saved him a bundle.
