Glide baits

Post by EDUBfishing »

Thanks to blackcloud9 I found this forum again. Nice to see the familiar folks still posting good content. I would like to ask who has had any success fishing glide baits in the MB or SD bay. Any terminal rigging tips retrieve speeds and times of day and tide that has proven successful.I am running a Lexa 300 with 15lb flour to duo clip and small swivel throwing the savage mullet glide bait and have had some success. Thanks

I’ve seen pics of Mattson with nice halibut in Sd bay on deps 250. Never tried it myself. In my experience, halibut are not line shy. I’d fish a typical bass set up. 30lb mono to 30lb fluorocarbon. I don’t use the split ring on the deps and opt for a double rapala knot. Just my preference. Good luck.
