Three Bs San Diego Bay Dec 19

Got onto San Diego Bay this morning for a pre storm session as well as testing a TFO NXT Black Label 6wt rod.
Not very breezy and mostly dead calm from 0800 to 1000. No rain. Small tidal change. Fished from about 0645 to 1030. Pretty good catching on the last part of the outgoing tide but things slowed down considerably with the slack tide and the first couple of hours of the incoming tide. Barely enough current to push us on the incoming.
A couple of dozen+ fish each, mostly during the first two hours. A bit slower than my recent trips. All of my fish were on a red/yellow clouser minnow.
The "Three Bs": bass, bonefish, barracuda.
A good number of good sized spotties approaching legal keeper size.
There have been some pencil barracuda in the South Bay for about a month now. The 'cuda destroy flies if they don't just chew through the leader.
Also a couple of smelt.
