NIce vid. If I recall my best day there was fishing a point just north of Konocti Casino launch ramp, some 10 years back. It was half moon in shape, quite shallow in the back, sloping to 6' where I anchored, with lots of cheese and edges by tulles all the way to my boat.

Got about 15 on the frog, never moved the boat, averaging 3 lbs each, up to 6 (on the very point). That was over a three or four hour period, and if they missed, which was 50% of the time, they left a 'hole', marking where they lived and the spot where I'd most likely catch one, after it 'cooled down'. Good times.

Another nice frog fish!

I was 10 years old a looong time ago when I was up there for a few weeks. I wasn’t a great bass fisher”man” then. Probably still not…I didn’t get to take advantage of that lake like I now wish. I fished it with zero luck. Funny thing was, there were a couple farm ponds right next to the lake that were really good as well as a few streams and “rivers” near by. If my memory serves me, there was so much muck and algae from the shore that I had access to, it made it very difficult to fish. I do remember seeing someone catch a huge cat though. Cool
Videos.
