12/14-Late morning SD River

It was cold when I woke up and had not planned to go fishing as my goal was to stay warm...ha ha. Anyway as the morning dragged
on it started to wear on me and it was well after 9a.m. and I decided to load up some gear and hit the SD River for a few hours. Had
a jacket on, but it warmed up enough to shed it. What the news said is there may be some wind gusts, but the water was still green
stained and glassy. Every time I reeled in, the green film on the water was spraying off the line and started to get on everything.
I wasted a little time with under spins and a crank bait, but again should have done that if I got to the river early in the morning.
My last times to the river I caught 2 bass, 3 bass and then 2 bass last trip. Well needless to say, this late morning session I managed
to catch 2 bass again.
Both bass were small and I caught one on a Tokyo Rig with a crawbait trailer and the other bass on a Tokyo Rig with a creature bait
trailer. I had one other bass that came un-buttoned in the stick-ups but it felt pretty small( but could have been a double digit...kidding!)
Oh well, getting out and getting some fresh air on the water was better than staying home/
I guess catching 2 bass for me is the new 5 during the winter.....ha ha
Tight lines everyone
