Slow day for me today. There was absolutely NO breeze today which made it really tough to get bit once the sun got high. Managed 3 early fish on Flukes with the biggest going 4.36. Best fish I’ve gotten out of there in a while. Caught it in about 6” of water busting shad. Definitely less fish in the bushes. Followed one big Wolfpack of about 40 fish up and down the shoreline. I got my three out of that group.

Could not buy a bite after the sun got high. Lots of follows but no takers. Zeroed again on the usually reliable assortment of drop shot, t-rigs, and C-rigs fished from 15 out to 60ft.

I was out there on Saturday. No wind then either which was very odd. Anyway, good looking fish you got there! Sounds like a solid day to me.

Are the only busters still on the shore..nothing out deep?

The only busters I have seen in the last two weeks were the bass running shad in the bushes along the shoreline. Haven’t seen a single fish bust out in open water. I’ve seen several wolfpacks along the shoreline. Big wolfpacks too, maybe somewhere between 30-50 fish. They almost look like a school of trout cruising along. With no breeze yesterday it was really easy to see them.

Great job! I always see those busters up tight but shy away from throwing that deep in the sticks. Note to self…throw deeper in the sticks 😉

When a fish looks big with you holding it, it is a nice fish!
