I remember where I was Nov 22, 1963 when JFK was assassinated. My wife and I were home from class having lunch ( probably a bologna sandwich). We heard a banging on the door of our married student apartment and found our next door neighbor frantic for us to come over. They had a TV, and it was showing live coverage of the aftermath of the assassination. Later I went to my afternoon class where the professor had tears coming down his cheeks as he gave us a "hang in there; it will all work out" speech before dismissing the class. All classes were cancelled for the next couple of days.
