I see that some guys were having some success with using the umbrella rigs. What’s the rules and setup to use them? Besides the hooks having the barbs crimped or shaved down, how many plastic lures are allowed on them etc?

only 3 hooks are allowed in freshwater. so if you have more arms cut off the hooks at the bend and glue on your plastic.

Get a pdf of the dfg regulations book. It’s really specific on the subject.
