We have had waaaaay too much spam in the last two or three days. Hate to say it, but I think anybody who's name starts with "Svet" and they don't hail from anywhere in the U.S. should be banned, or else anybody who hasn't posted yet should be moderated until admins see that these people are legit angler enthusiasts. Just sayin'....

@TaBASSco all suspicious accounts have been banned. Some additional anti-bot measures have been added as well.
There is no way to completely filter out all bots and spam posters so please report them so that the mods can ban them quickly.

That had to be the world record or spam posts in the last 24 hours. My little typing fingers got worn out reporting them. There must have been close to 200 hundred of them, certainly over 150.

Thank you for reporting the spam posts, this helps a lot!

FYI you can just report one spam post for the same user and the mods will delete all of that user’s posts.

I hope you are using the admin tools to ban these users by their IP address as well. They seem pretty relentless.

These spammers use different IP addresses every time so that would not work.
Going forward the user activation process will be done manually by the admins.
That should allow us to block most of the spam accounts.

All new users are being activated manually, which helps weed out most spammers, but some are getting very creative and are difficult to distinguish from genuine users.
