I use either improved clinch, palomar or perfection loop.
More importantly, if you're line is breaking a lot, check for a cracked guide! I was in panama fishing and I kept snapping my line and was going nuts and started blaming the guy who spooled up my reel until I realized I had a damaged guide that was abrading my line. Cut the guide off the rod and never broke another line the rest of the trip. If course here in civilization, you can replace the guide before your next trip haha but out there, it's gotta come off or retire the rod for the trip.

The old damaged guide. I have been a victim more than once! Good tip

For attaching a mini jig when fishing, the improved clinch knot is often considered one of the best choices. It's strong, reliable, and easy to tie, making it perfect for securing small lures like mini jigs. Plus, it maintains a high level of strength, crucial for ensuring your line doesn't break when you hook a fish.
Fish N Fool knot is also another option
Claims that a knot is >100% are misleading at best. There is no knot that breaks at a higher level than the breaking strength of a line (and how would you know how much over 100% if it did since the line would break 1st?). That misleading claim is based on the knot breaking strength versus the rated strength of the line (but they don't tell you that). The actual breaking strength of the line is often significantly above the rated strength unless it is IGFA rated in which case the breaking strength is slightly less than rated strength.
Nothing wrong with either of the 2 knots though.

I’ve used the improved clinch since I was a kid. My knot on braid will pull my boat through tullies and bushes before i can get to my bait and cut it off or unhook it. I don’t give two shuts about anyone’s knot wars tests. I boat flip 5 lbers with zero worry it’s not different from ford Chevy and dodge. Use what you know and are comfortable with

San Diego knot, no clips. Always wet your line (spit) before you sinch. Check your line and knot every so often and especially after hookup. Retie as needed
Make sure your drag isn’t too tight, can’t horse fish in, especially with 2-4lb test
I agree 100% with camobass' comments above. I"ll add that the % difference in knot strength is smaller for light line... for example 10% of 2lb is less than 10% of 20lb. Find your confidence knot and tie it well. Light smooth drags, fresh line and crack-free guides are essential. Parabolic rods will also help cushion sudden bursts from fish.

Palomar. Simple as that. Never in my entire life of fishing have I ever used any other knot from 250 pound pelagic species to largemouth bass to trout to tiny micro panfish.

Always use the San Diego jam knot and know it holds up to forcing fish in whether it be from a pond to the offshore game.

Palomar knot for everything besides light flouro, 6lb and under or so. I’ve found it’s easy to not tie a perfect palomar and end up burning or indenting very light flouro. Maybe I’m tying it wrong. I’ve found less break offs going with an improved clinch or an uni.
