Badly kept secret!
Sutherland opened today and everybody seemed to know. I wrote a longer report but touched the wrong button and it vanished! Not as easy as it used to be, or I am dumber!
Short version: Water is cold, fish are in the stick-ups and seem to be few.

Re: Badly kept secret!
I think all the crappie fishermen scared them off….ha ha.
Yeah, the cold water(and lack of water)and all the points and areas that were high and dry now did not help make
the fishing easier. It was strange having so many people fishing, especially in the middle of the lake, but I think it was
more noticeable because the lake was so dang low. Anyway, it was great seeing you out there and at least you’ve got a
nice bass. Very healthy! Look forward to seeing many more of those pics and healthy bass this year.
Tight lines buddy.

Nice fish...but I caught 2 just like that, I just chose to release them..when they jumped! Amazing how I had no problem landing the other 6 micro-bass! Don't make plans to launch a boat here this summer, not happening!

Sweet.
Bummer is just a mud puddle.
Yes, San V is looking great, just 7' from highest ever and the water intake is roaring and has been for 2 months I hear.
Like how that bass matches your outfit.

My favorite spots are accessible again! Too bad I'm not there to take advantage of them.

Island is just starting to show but the road to that area is washed out, never to be fixed.TaBASSco wrote: Sat Mar 02, 2024 7:28 am My favorite spots are accessible again! Too bad I'm not there to take advantage of them.

My God, what is the problem with the San Diego Water District? Just when I thought it could not get any worse=(Mcfish wrote: Fri Mar 01, 2024 8:33 pm 20240301_061331.jpgNice fish...but I caught 2 just like that, I just chose to release them..when they jumped! This winter has been a lot better than last winter. the water is all frozen over in Wyoming, but Utah has been having much milder weather. If the high pass 191 highway isn't closed, I can get to nicer weather and open water to fish. The fishing has slowed down since early January, but there are still adventures to be had....such as a hike down into the Flaming Gorge, just below the dam. I did that last week, although the fish hadn't seemed to have gotten the memo. Still, had a nice day, saw some fish, and some beautiful scenery. Hoping for an early spring and melt on the local waters
