Some guys might know me.....

Post by Silentbuddah »

There are some guys here that might still remember me. I used to be a Socal native and fished the Socal lakes a lot on a tube dragging a jig. Just wanted to drop this video for you guys this is not in Socal. I have since then moved to the Central valley and now do kayak tournaments up here. This is a lake in the Central Valley of California. I am not asking for anyone to subscribe or like my video. Just simply sharing fishing! have fun out there guys!

Glad things are going well Silentbudda. I always remember seeing those huge bass you caught and shared with us.
There were so many pigs you landed that I wished I lived up where those lakes were...ha ha. Sometimes I think
I fish a little better out of my kayak as I do not have as many distractions like in my boat with 10-12 rods on the
deck somehow calling me to keep switching back and forth with them rather than sticking to just a few baits.
Anyway... nice hearing from you and really enjoyed the video. Best wishes and tight lines always. :-)

I almost said sometimes a few more if I bring a couple swim bait rods but knew somehow @Mcfish
would no doubt find a meme like the one below or say something to make fun of me. I must admit that he can be funny at times.
What used to drive a few buddies crazy is I would catch a fish or two on one bait and then change rods with a different
baits minutes later and maybe catch one or a few and then change rods again. I guess though the years it was fun to
catch bass on 6 or 7 different baits. Always fun when it works and a total state of desperation when the bass are not biting
and I am constantly switching rods and baits. :-)

My backseaters used to always laugh at me because I would catch a fish and immediately pick up a different rod and start throwing something else. When I’m fishing one bait, I’m always thinking about what else I could be throwing. Even lately with all of the fish I’ve been getting in the dropshot, in the back of my mind I’m always wondering if something else wouldn’t work better or get me a bigger bite.

You guys are so funny. Complaining about how many rods you bring. Like somebody is forcing you. Last week I brought two rods on my buddies boat for the first time in 10 trips. Mostly I just bring one. I only brought it to fish some really small stuff at Murray, and it turns out I nailed my PB for the year so far with that rig. My Kill Stick” with 30 braid is so versatile, I can fish 8-20 leader. I only have a few ways that I fish with just a small bag of tackle that I am fishing the entire time I’m out there. No searching, no rerigging, no changing techniques, just uninterrupted casting. Those that haven’t fished with me may think I’m severely limited. That could be true but I catch just as many or more than my buddies and all from the back of the boat. The key is 60 years of refining those techniques and sticking with them thru thick and thin. Last week I went down 0-4 to my buddy and stormed back to go 6-4 on a day nobody seemed to get bit. Against a Senko no less. Slower faster, size and color, deeper or shallower. I really like to fish where no one else can cast, thick in the crap, behind the trees, 10 feet back inside the reeds. 50 feet deep. The secrets of constant success. Go get ‘em!
Nice to read something from Silentbuddah, it has been a long time.
