Observation:
#1. Skunked from shore.
#2. Water level is lowest I've seen in at least 15-years (subject to change any day or week).
#3. At least for now, there is some level of increased shore access.
#4. Viewing the lake bottom to about 10' from a pier, seems a bit early for my fellow bass folks. Just looked devoid of anything attractive.
#5. Not so much related to today, for a Lake Dixon shore fisherman for decades, the lake has declined significantly. What was once walk-able shoreline is now almost all tules, blocking shore casting access. I understand frog fisherfolks love the tule access from boat; but for shore fishermen, all bad.
6. Trout folks were highly disappointed today as Dixon missed a trout plant due to the hatchery running out of fish and they're looking for an alternate supplier.
7. I know it will come alive; just not quite ready.
8. Photos not that far away. Will monitor the trend once/week.

Thanks for the report. I haven't been up to Dixon in a few years and was thinking of making a run this weekend, based on your info I'll wait another week.

In the event you hunt trout, at the Dixon concession stand today, I noticed they did have a chalk board indicating the next trout plant; but as a basser I didn't digest it.
I'm pretty sure a call will give you an accurate next-plant date.

The Lake Dixon website kinda sucks as it usually seems to me about 2-months in the past.

Just another Lake Dixon comment from my experience.
If weekend access is what you have; then go for it.
If you are ever available during the week, my Rule #1 is Never on a Weekend.
Just way too many people for me.

Yeah no weekends for me, been there, done that.
Also, I haven’t fished for trout in several years.
