Lemon Grove Bait and Tackle has crawdads I believe or you could check with East County Bait and Tackle.

If you call the guy at alpine fisheries, he can let bait fisherman in early. His business is at his residence. He normally opens at 7. He’s cheaper than the bait shops plus you can hand pick your dads.
