Does anyone spearfish here?
I’m very interested in starting to learn how to spearfish. Curious if anyone knows if I could get lessons somewhere? Buy used gear?

Call Ocean Enterprise, theyre the largest scuba shop in-town...
Clairemont / Mira Mesa area, also have a website to browse.
Not sure if they still do this but atleast before covid they use to have a yearly huge parking lot sale including deep discounts on new gear along with they would sell a ton of used gear from anyone decided they nolonger wanted it....
They also may offer some sort of free-diving lessons of some sort, I know they do have free-diving gear...

Check out San Diego Free divers web site . Attend a meeting , real bunch of spearo's . The name is deceptive if you are a dedicated Free diver . Good bunch of guys and gals . Get some instruction , never dive alone , one up one down , stay safe out there . If you are just getting into the sport let me know I have some equipment that I have aged out on . Just cant do what I used to . WR Add / edit Check into FII free dive certification , level 1 at minimum , Level 1 will have you at 3 min breath hold and 20 meter dives , with safety . It is well worth the effort . Again stay safe stay alive . WR

Look up Just Get Wet. They do line diving, freediving courses, and spearfishing lessons/trips to the coronados. Good people, great divers.

ya check out san diego free divers or north county depth finders. Go to a meeting and ask around about gear. Dont get used scuba gear if your budget allows.

I’m new to the sport, seeking people to dive and spear with. Don’t have a boat so I’m thinking from the beaches or jetties…let me know if you’re open to a noob tagging along!
