short sunset trip 7/27

Post by yumBass »

got to the beach a bit layer than i’d like, about 7:40. Water is still warm, which is great. There was a metric fk ton of seaweed on the beach and in the water which, of course, smelled awful.

if we could get the bait through the seaweed, the fish bit very quickly. every time we hit a section that didn’t result in 20 lbs of seaweed, bites hit in less than 2 mins. here are some of the catches

Good job catching some from the beach regardless. I like to call the surf report to check for their relay about the surge in order to help with that salad

Strong surge and rip currents basically pull all that eel grass off the reef/rocks and kelp too and push it into the shore
