Checking Weather for Offshore Fishing

Post by chalon9 »

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am planning to take an overnight trip out of Point Loma later this week. The forecast shows rain here Tues, Wed, and Thurs, but I wanted to check the forecast for offshore.

The ship I will be on is likely the Producer out of H&M, so I think they have been fishing in the vicinity of the Coronado Islands. I already rescheduled once due to the storm last weekend, so now I am paranoid about it happening again!

The national weather forecast gives an estimate of wave amplitude.

If there is a small craft advisory, trips usually get cancelled due to high wind and large waves. Your trip should be good. Bring seasickness medication just to be safe.
