Looking for Float Tube Partner SD/Mission Bay

I just bought a new float tube. I've always envied people who can get out on the water but being a student living in an apartment makes it currently not feasible to buy a kayak or rent a boat consistently. Naturally, float tubing presented itself as the perfect solution.

I've gone out on Mission Bay twice now, but I know there is a lot I have to learn, but I've had a blast so far. I would love to go out with someone to learn some more and have a good time.

Going with someone that knows the area and can make that learning curve a lot faster is definitely a good approach. Too bad you're not further north or else I"d invite you to fish Newport. I"m barely getting into this float tubing thing and it's been addicting, putting me in places that not a lot of people can reach.

Good luck out there and don't be afraid doing solo trips, as I've learned that even in failure, I was learning.

As long as all your safety gear checked off, floating alone is a cathartic experience.

is love to go out with you, but the darned eelgrass fouls my motor and with my old, really bad, knees, I simply can't fight the wind and tide without it anymore.
