Fiesta Island 9/17

I Was on the island in the morning about 9:30 left at 11:30.
Caught 7 Bonefish. Nothing big. Lost a few that felt bigger.
Very windy today. Boat racing in Mission Bay this weekend.
Parts of the Bay will be closed.

I caught them on Gulp sandworms. 12 inch leader. #4 hook.
I was in that cove across from that youth center.

There are bigger ones back there. The bonefish really like those far back coves

Yes there is. Caught some big ones last time I was there.

I love those little guys... Just too bad they don't get to the size of some of there cousins from other parts of the globe...

Is the cousin the tarpan.
Tarpon are a fantastic game fish, but I was talking abut other species of bonefish.. Ours are the Cortez Bonefish Andy the record is about 15” and 1-1/2#.. The all tackle other species bonefish record is close to 40” ant 20#.. Ours is about the smallest species…
