Nice catch!!!
Is is cold up there? ha ha. I have not put a long sleeve shirt on for a long time with all this crazy heat! I should take a drive to where you were and cool down...ha ha. Just messing with ya. With weather even hotter next week, I doubt I will be out fishing and glad you shared something with us lightweights.
Best wishes and tight lines always. :-)

Fun place, congrats.
Sun!? Always long sleeve, gloves, etc.. Too much skin cancers popping up. Heard sunscreen is actually dangerous, too many chemicals, figures. ;/)

I thought you were at Discovery Park, Sacramento, I’ll always remember it, it’s a park that splits from the Sacramento River to the American River.
I caught, not my first but my first on a homemade blue spinner, Salmon a little over 20lbs. I’ll never forget it no matter how old my brain gets.
Thanks for your post and for bringing back the memories

The arc shaped constellation of spots below the dorsal fin and the blocky black area below the lateral line look the same-ish.

Maybe I should give Discovery a chance again. Been there once a couple months ago. No luck. My lake seems to be going through either maintinance or water level problems no launching boats.
