A full moon, an Eclipse, and 105 degrees....

I had all the excuses to have a bad day...and the first 3 hours proved me right....and then it didn't! I started out throwing everything that got me 20 fish last trip, and came up with a big zero for 3 hours! I knew there was tons of bait in the water so I set out looking for where the fish might be..a big chore in a tube and 105 degrees...but all worth it. I found some wolfpacks crashing bait in a foot of water along a 100' stretch of shoreline! They were all nice fish and didn't seem nervous that they were in a foot of water with blue bird skies! I ended up with 7 fish along that shore, including a couple 4lbers! Around 11:00, that bite died off and I switched over to a dropshot and started fishing my rockpiles. I picked up another 7 fish, a couple 3s and a kicker 7lber! I lost a couple other nice fish in the rocks, but that's the game! I called it a day at 1:00...brains totally baked! I was happy that on a day I had a million excuses..I still made it work!

If I suddenly changed my mind, even though I told you I was not coming up there to fish, I would have been cursing up a storm
after 3 hours of nothing, And heading home vowing to never come back to the large pond of D & K. But that did not happen
and you hung in there and what a difference it made. Glad you were able to find a pattern and catch a batch of nice fish.
A sign of a dedicated (and a very good) fisherman especially in the blazing heat and topping it with a fat 7 pounder! Got to
hand it to you for figuring out what those finicky bass want to bite. Great job and tight lines always(unless you come to Murray).
