I was out on Crystal pier Monday morning after breakfast. They were catching lots corbina on white lures the size of a LC. You could see the fish come up and hit the lure. Right on the surface of the water.. They were also using live smelt. All I brought was shrimp and sandworms i had on luck . I should have brought my LC.

Interesting, and unusual, corbina chasing lures; but if going after the smelt, seems to make sense when they're hungry enough and other food sources aren't around. I thought there were still a lot of crabs under the pier and micros on the beach for them to eat. At least that was what was going on a few weeks ago, the beans coming up the beach to get the micros but would not take a bait tossed in their direction. Thanks for sharing. 😊
