Fish ID?

Hi, caught this one yesterday at San Diego Bay. I believe it's type of perch but never seen this color before.
AI says its "Rubberlip" perch.....yes the photos look pretty close but am still not 100%. Not sure if Rubberlip is common in San Diego either?
If anyone here familiar with this fish please help me identify, I really appreciate it! Thanks
