5/6 Barrett
Was in line at 2:30 about 10 cars a head of me. Found out some people spent the night. I started fishing spots that were producing for me last year. Of coarse it had changed big time. Bring lots of tissue, the snot is thick and deep. Topwater was here and there. Hitting deeper areas and holes in the snot worked. Fished shore edge to 20' Deeper, fish are on the move couldn't find 1 spot producing more then a couple. Fly lined worm or senko, DS, Ika and plopper. Fish are small 1 to 2lbs, blue gill are huge and hit like a freight train. Biggest just over 3lbs. 61 total. Will have a different plan next trip.

My first day since TEMAS is this Sunday. Back in March it was pretty clear of the snot. Maybe only hit it 2-3 times all day.

Thanks for the +1 tube spot
Slow for me
Lots of snot grass
Dink fest shallow on the popper and ned
A handful of bigger models 15' out away from thick stuff
At least I broke in new tube

For the Cast Hope Event, I was very surprised at all the deep moss so early in the season. Between me and my buddy, we went over 120 fish on the day but nothing over 3lbs. First time in ANY of my trips to Barrett that I didn't get fish over 3lbs. The small fish were healthy footballs that really fought well for their size.
New boats nice and roomy. Our foam inserts worked well.
