Regarding TM issue
Regarding TM issue
I’m sure a lot of you guys purchase the ticket and ended up with 2 ticket on your hand, I called TM regarding the situation and following is the respond TM gave me.
“The event only allows one ticket per household, since the policy is strictly enforce the event organizer will be CANCELING BOTH of the duplicate ticket and put it up for re-purchase”
So as for everyone that got 2 tickets, the best thing for all of us to do is contact the city which is the event organizer and demand of canceling only 1 ticket from the 2 we obtained so we don’t need to fight over for another re-purchase. I put their contact information below.
San Diego Reservoir and Recreation
Phone number: 619-668-2050
Email: [email protected]
We need to fight for what we already obtained or else the ticket on your hand will be gone soon after they voided all duplicate sales!!!!!!!! Which is totally BS!!!! Make those calls send the emails, if they don’t pick up the phone leave a VOICE MAIL!!!

Re: Regarding TM issue
The other problem is how many of the duplicate tickets are there issued out?
Assume there’s double the boat reservations, if the City doesn’t cancel those, there’s going be a lot of boaters just fishing the shoreline or the dock or both as they find there’s no more boats to hop on.
Yea, TM needs to allow for the double ticket holders to keep the one valid ticket and void/cancel the other one with a full refund.

Re: Regarding TM issue
I have the same problem an many of you guys. Just emailed SD lakes to see if they can confirm if these tickets will be voided or not. I'll post an update if I hear anything. Don't want to sell someone a ticket that eventually disappears.

Yea good for you, use the e-mail to keep a paper trail versus a phone call, so it’s not a he/she said this and then to find out I never said that or that’s not happening. Good luck to everyone!

Re: Regarding TM issue
I’m in the same boat. Only way to purchase was to buy 2 tickets. Trying to call, email San Diego with zero luck.
Going to try calling Ticketmaster now to see if they can cancel one ticket so I don’t lose my boat.
What a mess!

Re: Regarding TM issue
Yea that makes sense to just cancel the one extra (double) ticket and get a refund for the cancelled ticket. Hope they can do that rather than get the City involved as we don’t need a bunch of angry folks and have the City say “screw this, close the lake down”.Buzzy81HB wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 11:50 am I’m in the same boat. Re: Regarding TM issue
TM is such a nightmare to have to deal with. All of it...the way they sell tickets, the fee's etc..
So is this a normal thing when buying Lake Barrett Tix? Logged on to my computer, wife on her phone. We literelly have dates in our cart, go to checkout...and boom gone!!! Like WTF!!! Isnt having the tickets in your cart and going to checkout holding that ticket for you to purchase?!
Like what am I doing wrong here?? Have super human speed and a Fiber Internet connection? So Im assuming aside from this nonsense...that it basically comes down to who enters in their CC faster regardless if its in your bucket and about to checkout, is that a fair assumption? As I dont want to miss next months offering? Thx

Re: Regarding TM issue
Agree that’s messed up. I do know you are on the clock, 7 minutes I think, to consummate the purchase or you lose it. That’s when all the land mines like agreeing to the policies, declining insurance, and having all the credit card info into the system bites you. Best to verify all the payment info ahead of time.JigginJaws wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 12:48 pm TM is such a nightmare to have to deal with. All of it...the way they sell tickets, the fee's etc..

Re: Regarding TM issue
I just had a buyer of a previous ticket a year ago, he’s in the same pickle with those getting a double ticket.
Anyone get any real resolution to their double ticket status?
He left a message (didn’t say whether voice or e-mail) two days ago and hasn’t heard a peep back.

Re: Regarding TM issue
Check Ticketmaster and see if the tickets were removed from your upcoming events. The main problem is that the tickets are technically willcall, so it's not like you have anything for them to take away. City of San Diego probably has to make the cancellation or any changes, but I've been checking TicketMaster and both tickets are still there under upcoming events. My plan is if it's still available a week before the trip, I'll give it to my buddy that wasn't able to get his own ticket.

Re: Regarding TM issue
Thanks, if the City or TM doesn’t make any changes to the double tickets, then the risks are: not enough boats for all, parking will be so packed and backed up.
Not sure if the float tube/shoreline tickets was also affected but that’s going to make everything all the worse with respect to little or no parking for many.
Just hope the vehicles don’t clog up the area’s parking which is always tight.

Re: Regarding TM issue
The question is, since they made you buy 2 and they only allow so many to be sold. Did they sell double the spots or half?

Those ending up with the double tickets are the ORDER #’s the same or did you get two different order #’s?

Re: Regarding TM issue
What would suck is if everyone who got 2x tickets sells their extra and then there aren't enough boats for the guys who purchased only 1 boat ticket. I anticipate a total shitshow at the dock when this happens! Hopefully the guys who paid for 2 sets are smart enough to not sell the 2nd set. And if you did you deserve to lose both sets.
