3/31 Cap

Post by Dfishin »

Made it out earlier waiting for gate to open. Weather was cloudy, drizzle and windy. I thought a chatter bait would work, first cast got slammed and it came off. Then nothing. No jerk bait fish. But the DS and senko was on fire. While others are hitting big rock piles, I was hitting the stuff in between, from 1' of water to 20'. I didn't think it was possible, it happened. I hit the 50 mark. Biggest 3 1/2lbs.

After netting I would throw out another line and this happened a few times.

I'm a boater just had to adapt while I can. Barrett boats not in my budget as much as I want to go.

That’s an epic day man! Hitting the unassuming stretches of shoreline has been a sweet recipe for good numbers lately. I’ve been switching up methods a bit more lately trying to chase a bit more quality since I’ve been getting large numbers of 1.5-2.5 lb. clones, but man it’s hard to do that when you know you could go after numbers instead and still probably get a couple good quality fish mixed in. Congratulations on hitting that 50 mark!

My next trip, that is my plan A. Maybe Saturday! The bigger ones I see, just look, stare or swim off. Then tap clone on. Look at the pic with a graph the dots are clones.
