Anybody have updated pictures of the water level?

Hey D…the latest SanDiego.gov charts show Barrett down only a foot or two compared to last August. I can tell you that after being out there today it is considerably lower. Trees whose base were underwater last year were completely dry by 3-4 feet. Of the pics we got today you can see more exposed shoreline in these.

Great (typical) numbers, fish seemed smaller although three over 5lbs were caught by the gang, maybe a double digit but not confirmed. Our bests out of 78 caught were barely over 3lbs.

I personally caught three 5 pounders, and 2 over 6 pounds. Probably half of my 30 fish were over 3 pounds, but that being said, I found an area that seemed to hold big fish and simply stayed on it. Most guys were reporting lots of numbers, but smaller fish, so I guess it's a question of finding the structure that holds the bigger ones.

The water level seemed to be very close to the end of last year, and to me that lake looked really good. The water wasn't "clear" but had decent 3-4 foot visibility, the water temp on my FF was 67 in the morning and I caught some pre spawn, and some obviously post spawn bass. I think we hit it right in the middle of the transition. There were tons of fry in the water in some areas.

I only got 3 top water, but the quality bottom bite was so good that I didn't really stick with the top water too long.

We found the shoreline crashers to be our smallest fish. It was pretty cool calling my shot twice throwing the minnow in right after a crash and getting bit. But the bottom bite was our call too.
