Cap the 16th

Post by Dfishin »

I trucked through the mud to fish. I was out there 2 weeks before and did really well with 31, checked out to the rock I use to fish on the regular that is out of the water now. I did even better this time. Fishing the shore to 15' deep. All types of shore line, but with rock was better. Fished slow with texas rig, DS, ned and a jerk bait. The jerk bait worked best in muddy upped water. I have some upgrades to my pontoon that are game changers for me. Autoboat smart head with spot lock and Garmin FFS. Oh yah 1 more thing happened you will see in pics. All fish were nice and healthy, except!

I wish I caught it! It was floating and who ever caught her stuck a knife in the belly, I think to bleed the air. The fish should be over 10, the belly you see is air. It was moving when I found her and died minutes later. Very sad.

The mud is a huge pain to deal with, but it’s worth it right now.

The Autoboat smarthead has been amazing on my float tube. Crazy that I can spotlock just like on my boat.

Guys…is this the head replacement w gps being sold by Tiny Boat Nation? Just under a grand? Im trying to get my Barrett buddy to split one with me to modify our Barrett boats. Problem is I drive the trolling motor all day and he said “why should I pay $500 when you are essentially our spot lock?” Such an ass**** 😂

It is a game changer! Yes it is TBN. Now you have to preorder for May. The May ones will have a different remote that gives more info instead of on your phone. DO IT FOR YOURSELF! You will out fish him hands free.

Seriously, he is considering it too. He knows from my bass boat how much it helps.

That's right I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Do you use it in salt water?

A bit less than fresh, but yes. If I don’t have to, I leave the motor up and out of the salt water altogether.

Not for me it isn't. My knees are still jacked up from getting stuck in it while trying to get out. I'll leave that to you youngsters for the time being haha.
