2/4-Murray

Post by VinnyBass »

After some swimbait tossing from shore a few times recently, I decided to take the boat out and give it a whirl. The weather got hot quickly and geez...85 degrees in early February! Anyway....swimbait tossing for a while and then switched over to a crank bait and landed a small bass. Then around 30 minutes later landed another one on the crank bait. Still tossing a swimbait here and there and a few other creature baits, I think a few hours went
by before I was able to land another bass on a crank bait. It was hot as heck by now and wore my arm out trying to land more on the crank and other reaction baits. Before leaving switched over to a Texas rig with a 7' worm and landed 2 more bass with the biggest one being 4lbs. It was pretty slow and I probably should have just worm fished...ha ha. Great running into Dannicus out on the water and fun chatting about fishing of course. :-)

McFish would never believe that I caught
bass on a crank bait so had to post this pic.

Here is the same bass that broke McFish's
line last year...so you know it was ever smaller then....ha ha

Nightcrawlers! Ha ha ha, I brought some with me last month and learned Vinny don’t do no bait. Heresy! By the way I finally got Skunked at Canyon Lake. No Crawlers….6 am-2:30 pm. Notabite, touch, nip, breath on my stuff. Even my buddy, Rick whiffed. Humbling! Pepe says fishing was “ le Pew”.

Did way better than me Vinny. I got 4 but they were all little carbon copies of this. Always great seeing you out there and chatting.
