Anyone seeing Macks at piers?

Got some newbies who want to try fishing at the pier. Anyone know if there's mackerel action at the piers or jetties?

Not personally, and this doesn't quite answer your question, but I've seen reports in other social media groups of mackerel being caught recently at Embarcadero Marina by the convention center.

I've been picking them up here and there by the Shelter Island launch ramp, fishing dropshot for other stuff. Feisty little things.

Thanks for the replies. They ended up going to crystal pier for a handful of perch on high low rig. I haven't really been seeing them myself but I also don't really target them. But when they here in numbers they'll hit spoons/jigs all day.
