I made it to the beach for an hour. Found 5 sand crabs and converted 2 of them to on back-to-back casts.

A couple of nice ones Mike for off season. You've had good success with that sand crab rake. Still finding them close to the surface or digging deep ?

Re: Torrance Beach 1/21
I use a right-handed baitcaster so I hold the rod in my left hand and rake in my right. Each time a wave recedes, I kick sand into the rake with my right foot/toe so I'm down about 3 to 4 inches. It took about 30 minutes to find those 5 crabs.Perch killer wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 4:57 pm A couple of nice ones Mike for off season. You've had good success with that sand crab rake.
