1/20- SD River(finally)

I have been taking care of other things that I kept putting off and have not been fishing much at all. I think people have seen me at Home Depot and Lowes so much lately. that they must think I work there..ha ha. So this morning I needed a break and arrived at the river around 8:30a.m. Have not fished there since December 30th and the water is still pretty stained. Started off with some crank baits and underspins and no takers. I tend to do the same pattern as you may notice on my SD River posts and then went to a plastic worm. It took 3 hours of fishing before I finally got a bite and landed a bass that fought like a champ. Fifteen minutes later I got bit again and had a small bass on but it came unbuttoned. A little later something tapped my 7" worm and I guess it may have been a bluegill that pecked at it because nothing was there when I reeled up the slack to set the hook. Before leaving I tried another spot and got lucky as I was able to land another bass which was nice before leaving. Only 2 bass (3.75lbs & 3.25lbs), but nice to be out on the water again.
