Agua Hedionda Lagoon 11-26-25

Post by bdb74 »

I got there around 3PM which was mid tide. I used a Carolina rig with 1" curly tail grub. 6 calico bass (no keepers) on pumpkin red flake and 1 (not a keeper) on translucent yellow with red flake. 1 opaleye on tan with black and light blue flake. Saw no one else catch anything. Lots of weeds but they were in floating mats and were avoidable. The water was very clear.

I throw a minimum of 5 inch baits, to keep from catching babies. Big fish rarely move on tiny baits. Not worth the effort. There are some really big Fish swimming in there. I’ve taken many Halibut over 10 pounds in that Lagoon. Lots of nice Bass, Corvina, not quite keeper White Sea Bass…and some nice Spotfin on Ghost Shrimp.
