11/19 Mission Beach
6:30 to 9:30 . Cold but doable. Caught 14 today. All different sizes. No grass or seaweed. Very clean water again. Sandworm.

Glad to see the quality is going up there. I think it's spawn time for them soon. Were you fishing closer to the jetty or pier?

I park south Mission Beach. I fish from the lifeguard station up to San Gabriel Pl. I might have to try a Lucky Craft next time. Always wanted to catch one on a LC.Jteo wrote: Wed Nov 19, 2025 4:57 pm Glad to see the quality is going up there. I think it's spawn time for them soon. Were you fishing closer to the jetty or pier?

Re: 11/19 Mission Beach
I picked up a few battlestars on Monday but was not brave enough to tie one on to the ultralight. If I venture back up to Solana and the conditions are good I wanna try them. The rock to sand mix feels like hali Territory. Plus there was crazy bird action

Re: 11/19 Mission Beach
Beautiful fish! Great to hear the water is clearing. I wonder if it's because the swells are coming from the NW so it can brush the kelp away when the current is moving south?
